The home also features its own bar, billiards or game area, office, and eight-seat movie theater. All of the bedrooms are located on the top floors, including the primary suite, which has a private terrace and spa-like bathroom. Outside, the lush manicured grounds feature many majestic gardens, a pool, Jacuzzi, tennis court, pond, and gym. There is also a 13-car underground garage; two additional staff rooms; and a two-story, four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,900-square-foot guest house. The vine-covered guest house has curved French-inspired terraces and directly overlooks the pond with fountains. The gated driveway leads to a grand circular motor court, with a fountain and lush colorful flowers.

The 1993-built stucco structure, bearing the clean lines and flat roofs typical of modernist design, was recently reconceived by Yigal Hamias, who purchased it in 2022. Hamias is the founder of California-based Milano Granite, which helps explain the profusion of luxe marble and other stone finishes seen throughout in the listing photos. Through grimy windows, one can see a 1950s-style television set, a Christmas tree, and supposedly, neatly-wrapped gifts.

Sitting on 1.5 acres, the estate features Old World European-style elegance paired with clean and contemporary interiors. The 20,000-square-foot, three-story home was built in 2019 and took five years to complete—and it’s easy to see why. The entire home is bespoke and constructed with high-end materials and design, including polished stone and hardwood floors throughout.

Before you get judgy and start thinking that this is just some soulless corporate promotion, you know that the decor is more than just Rams chic. If they hold onto the pick it will be the first time the franchise has made a first round selection since they took Jared Goff No. 1 in 2016. It will also be the first time that the team has picked in the first round since Sean McVay became head coach in 2017 so you can understand why the team is kind of excited. Given its idyllic setting, Broad Beach has long attracted Hollywood A-listers, said Monus. Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy reportedly lived here in the 1960s, and Steve McQueen and Ali McGraw took up residence in the 1970s.
You suggest "music" as a theme for prom and a senior with a notebook and a fuzzy pen is going to ask you to leave. You can see a sneak peak of the Zillow Draft House, which is located in Hermosa Beach, in the videos below. The current asking price is $16.5 million, but the listing agent is apparently the Rams mascot Rampage, so it's unclear how much wiggle room there is with that price. Broad Beach Road is one of only a few select areas in Malibu set away from the Pacific Coast Highway, said Susan Monus of Malibu’s Coldwell Banker Realty office. She co-listed the property earlier this week with colleague Megan Whitcomb, who added that the street is not only set back from the highway, it also lies below it, cutting down on the noise as well as the traffic.

Ellwood, an Ojai-based interior designer, spoke to The Times about her father’s late ‘40s Brentwood commission, known among locals as the Zimmerman House after original owners Martin and Eva Zimmerman. The property, which she described as a “time capsule” because of its Midcentury Modern aesthetic, was purchased last year and set for demolition seemingly without reason. In recent weeks, several reports revealed that the Marvel star and Schwarzenegger purchased the lot for $12.5 million and that their new mansion — to be designed by Ken Ungar — was the reason for the teardown. The 1.4-acre lot has a motor court, a separate staff entrance, a four-car garage, a guest house, an outdoor kitchen, a cabana, lush acreage and fountains, according to the listing.

The Rams unveiled the lavish mansion where they will run their draft with features that include a game room, lounge, pool and covered bar. Last year, the couple purchased the 1950 Zimmerman house, designed by the architect Craig Ellwood, in Los Angeles’s Brentwood neighborhood for $12.5m. The residence, with landscaping by Garrett Eckbo – who has been described as the pioneer of modern landscaping – had previously been featured in Progressive Architecture magazine.

Razing the Zimmerman House is not just “so brutal,” but wasteful in a variety of ways, Ellwood added. She lamented that the home did not have some kind of ceremonious sendoff — final tours for architecture students, a celebratory cocktail hour, donation of materials for architectural studies — before it was torn down. The owners of Marilyn Monroe’s Brentwood home argued against landmark status, but L.A.’s Cultural Heritage Commission unanimously voted to recommend the property as a historic cultural monument. The Rams have run their draft out of a draft house since 2021, though they referred to last year's location in the San Fernando Valley as a "draft lab."
Other highlights include a modern interplay of warm wood surfaces (including new wood floors) with stone finishes and abundant glass details in the ceilings and walls. Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger demolished a famed midcentury home designed by late architect Craig Ellwood to make room for a new, modern mansion. As Sean McVay prepares to make a first-round pick in the NFL draft for the first time as a head coach, the Los Angeles Rams are setting up shop in a luxurious draft house for this weekend's event.
The furniture is covered in a thick layer of dust and the living room remains the exact same as it was that one December night. Upon approaching the house, guests can see the hip-roofed contemporary Mediterranean house. It was most recently home to the late Hilda Rolfe, the widow of Sam Rolfe, co-creator of the series The Man from Uncle. Video of the property from December 2022 shows a light-filled home that appears to have been well-preserved, with large windows, wood floors and mid-century furniture.
The main home features a beautiful oversized chef’s kitchen with state-of-the-art Gaggenau appliances with a formal dining table in the next room. There are several fireplaces found throughout the home, including a wood-paneled fireplace that runs the length of the double-height great room. Nearly every room on the main level offers access to the outdoor terraces and gardens. With the Zimmerman House now a pile of rubble and Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s new mansion reportedly still in early construction, Ellwood said she hopes the couple considers giving back to the architecture community amid the backlash. In addition to McVay and general manager Les Snead, the draft house will typically have celebrity guests. Eric Dickerson, Rebel Wilson, Erin Andrews and Brody Jenner were photographed at the venue in 2021.
Inside, the dark polished hardwood floors and steel window frames contrast with the high-ceilinged, light-filled entertaining rooms. Holmby Hills is home to some of L.A.’s most expensive and famous homes, including the Playboy Mansion and Spelling Manor down the road. Before installing a kitchen in a tiny ADU, homeowners should assess its purpose, measure it carefully, research small-scale appliances and imagine it as a full-size kitchen.
Architect Ken Ungar, whose portfolio largely features high-end modern farmhouse-style residences, will design a home for the couple, Architectural Digest reported. The property, which is just across the street from Schwarzenegger’s mother, Maria Shriver, will also feature a three-car garage and a secondary unit near the pool. The ocean-facing living area features a double-sided fireplace, a wet bar and picturesque views through expansive black-clad windows and sliding doors, which were added by the owner, Monus said.
In total, there are seven en-suite bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, plus a detached two-story guest house. From the street, the box-shaped house sits discreetly at the end of a short driveway. To the right of the two-car garage, a stone pathway meanders through a landscaped courtyard and past a large rock sculpture to the architectural, double-height, glass-enclosed entrance offering immediate ocean views across the length of the home. Throughout his decades-long career, Craig Ellwood brought his indoor-outdoor living approach to several properties across Southern California, including his beachfront Hunt House in Malibu. The Zimmerman house, with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows and open floor plans, was designed early in her father’s career and wasn’t the best representation of his work, Ellwood said.
According to published reports, recent marquee names include Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, Steven Spielberg, Dustin Hoffman, Robert De Niro, Mel Gibson, Pierce Brosnan and Los Angeles Times owner and biotech billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong. We depend on ad revenue to craft and curate stories about the world’s hidden wonders. Rudy Enriquez, now a retired music manager, has refused to sell the property, though he has admitted to frequenting the site to feed his two cats who live there. The exterior of the mansion is in slow decay, and the local neighbors have had to pitch in to help maintain the property. A year after the gruesome murder-suicide, the mansion was sold to a couple, Emily and Julian Enriquez, who only used the 5,050-square-foot house as a storage site. Neighbors recall seeing the couple bringing boxes to the mansion, but never staying overnight.
